Custom Stone Cladding
Granite has etched its name into the building, carpentry, shop fitting and design industry through its magnificent durability and style. It is an asset to any building (Literally). When done correctly, granite surfaces will offer outstanding lifespan and beauty. There are over 300 different colours, grains and densities to choose from so choosing a material to use to beautify your home is very easy. Unlike its manmade cousin, granite makes for brilliant indoor and outdoor cladding for walls, tops, water features, stairs and lots more. The idea possibilities are endless, we have laid cladding against walls for exterior and interior design features, shower walls that lead over to an on suite vanity of the same material that goes on to be inlayed into the skirting of the bathroom. Cladding is very easy to clean and remains sanitary as granite is non-porous and doesn’t allow bacterial growth.
Stone Cladding Types
Marble and sand stone can also be used for interior and exterior cladding as they do not fade after long periods in the sun and also do not mind water although when using sandstone, one should be careful as to how much water it might be subjected to, sandstone does not do well under constantly flowing water as it tends to weather. Engineered quartz makes for beautiful indoor cladding, especially in bathrooms as vanity or shower cladding but doesn’t do all that well in direct sun over long periods of time.
